I’m Laura Meadows, a certified fitness and nutrition coach helping women in their 40s and 50s rebuild their strength, energy, and confidence. Through my OwnHER Framework, I teach women how to move, nourish, restore, and anchor their health so they can thrive in their perimenopause years.

About Me

Laura founded Laura Meadows Strong Health & Fitness to help women take ownership of their health and well-being. She works with women in their perimenopause years and beyond who want to regain their energy, confidence, and strength through a balanced, sustainable approach to fitness, nutrition, and self-care.

Through her signature OwnHER Framework, Laura begins with a full lifestyle audit and meets you where you are — tailoring her approach to your lifestyle, goals, and season of life, vs squeezing you into a cookie cutter program. Combining education, mindset work, and practical strategies, she helps you set clear goals, connect to your deeper why, and build a health foundation that lasts as you get started on your health and fitness journey.

Meet Laura

Though working in the healthcare industry for over 25 years, it wasn’t until after a lengthy health scare of my own, I found my passion for helping others take ownership over their health and wellness. 

For two years, I fought for my life following complications experienced from a routine surgery, feeling a level of poor health, weakness and vulnerability that I never want to feel again. 

​  I chose to take ownership over my health and wellness, and began looking into what all I needed to do, to not only renew my health, but to become the healthiest, strongest version of myself. Scrolling through the internet, reading books, taking screenshots of workouts, meal plans and recipes, countless hours of therapy, self reflection and journaling led to me feeling VERY overwhelmed. Swimming in a sea of recommendations of everything I should be doing, I became paralyzed with analyzing every little detail and yet eager to do it all. 

I hired a coach who helped me take that first step. Once I got a taste of good health, strength and vitality, I wanted more. I wanted to not only be the strongest version of myself, I wanted to inspire others to do the same.  

Through all of this coaching experience, something within me ignited. A passion for learning the why and how behind what I was doing. Though I have a Masters in Nursing education, I continue to level myself up with my Elite Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coaching Certifications and ongoing education, so I can bring my clients the most informed information and care.

This is your journey. The work is yours, but you do not have to do it alone. I will help you get started, walk alongside you, and support you as you build consistency and keep moving forward when things feel hard.
